About Us
Aegis Digital Technologies is a Dresden-based MedTech startup working at the intersection of applied mathematics and diagnostic hematology. We are developing Micro-SDP, Smart Detection and Prediction of Single Cells in Microimages. Micro-SDP is built on custom developed deterministic ML system. It is Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) for label-free single-cell morphological analysis; starting in veterinary hematology, with a defined pathway toward human diagnostics (IVDR Class C).
As we move from technical validation toward clinical and commercial deployment, we're looking for a clinical voice to help ground our roadmap in real diagnostic practice.
The Role
We're seeking a board-certified Hematopathologist to join Aegis as a Clinical Advisor. This is an equity-based advisory position, not a salaried or full-time role, for someone who wants to help shape an early-stage diagnostics company from the clinical side.
What you'll contribute
- Clinical validation input on Micro-SDP's morphological outputs and diagnostic relevance
- Guidance on the path from veterinary application to human diagnostics, including regulatory and clinical risk considerations under IVDR
- Feedback on workflow fit, target customer definition, and how the technology would integrate into real diagnostic settings
- Scientific credibility and, where relevant, co-authorship or review support on publications and validation studies
- Occasional introductions within your clinical and academic network, where useful and appropriate
What we're looking for
- Board certification in Hematopathology (or equivalent international credential)
- Active or recent clinical/diagnostic experience in morphological blood or bone marrow analysis
- Genuine interest in ML-assisted diagnostics and how emerging technology fits into (or challenges) existing clinical workflows
- Comfortable engaging with a small, science-driven founding team; no prior startup or advisory experience required
- Global, no location or time-zone requirement; advisory time can be structured flexibly (e.g. a fixed number of hours per month, or ad hoc as needed)
