About Aegis Digital Technologies
Aegis Digital Technologies is a deep tech MedTech startup founded in Dresden, Germany. We are developing Micro-SDP, a deterministic ML system for automated single blood cell detection and classification in oncology diagnostics, built as a Software as a Medical Device targeting EU IVDR Class C certification.
The name Aegis, the shield of protection in Greek mythology, reflects our founding principle: to build technology that protects. In diagnostics, where the cost of a wrong decision is measured in human lives, determinism, transparency, and reproducibility are not design preferences. They are non-negotiable.

Our responsibility is to build deterministic AI that accelerates cancer diagnostics, giving clinicians results they can trust and trace, one cell at a time.
The Founding Team
Erdem holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, with research focused on variational regularisation and optimisation algorithms for inverse problems. His postdoctoral work 2017-2019 introduced him to primal-dual splitting methods, the mathematical foundation of Micro-SDP's core algorithm. He subsequently worked at industrial and scientific companies in Germany, Holland, Belgium, the US, applying these methods to radar signal processing, autonomous vehicles, and neuromorphic computing. Micro-SDP is the convergence of that entire trajectory, and is deeply personal: family experiences with misdiagnosis drive his commitment to building diagnostic tools that are rigorous, reproducible, and trustworthy.
Preethi holds an MSc in Smart Systems (Medical and Mechanical Engineering) and a BE in Biomedical Engineering. Having lived in Germany for over ten years as an international, she understands first-hand why building tools that are transparent, trustworthy, and explainable is not just a technical goal. It is a human one. She leads product strategy, business development, regulatory strategy, and go-to-market execution at Aegis Digital Technologies. She brings over a decade of MedTech and life sciences commercial experience across India and the DACH region, spanning medical devices, clinical laboratory quality management, liquid biopsy diagnostics, and drug discovery.

Bertram is an experienced CEO and board advisor with executive leadership roles across MedTech companies, specialising in due diligence and interim management, including through König MedTechConsulting. At Aegis Digital Technologies, he connects us with key players in the MedTech and life science network and guides our business model and regulatory strategy.
